Family transformations in Chile: present increasing risk in the emotional, psychosocial and educational development of children

Abstract
The article analyses some social factors that have increased the possibility of family changes that increase childrens' low achievement and failure, emotional disturbance and behavioral problems at school. It argues that through the development of supporting networks at school, it is possible to create protective factors that allow a normal development helping to achieve a good performance at school.
