Abstract

The term postmodernity, always controversial and ambivalent, lost prominence before 2008, but in recent years it has been acquiring a new and prominent presence. This article is based on an analysis of La trampa de la diversidad by Daniel Bernabé, drawing parallels between it and El Libro Negro de la Nueva Izquierda by Agustín Laje and Nicolás Márquez. It tries to show how a certain part of the left has begun to employ the concept of “postmodernism” as a conspiracy theory equivalent, formally and conceptually, to the alt-rigther Cultural Marxism.
