Problematizing Business Education in Chile: a (non) fissured practice

Abstract
The objective of this work is to present and discuss the practice of business education in Chile. Business education in our country has produced and reproduced a particular concept of success, merit and value, which have spread far beyond the field of private production. Since its inception at the beginning of the last century, it has enjoyed good health, and in particular, it has managed to remain free of criticism and questioning. Through an outline of the historical political contingency that gave its conditions of possibility and the particular distinctions of its discursive articulation, I develop a problematized proposal of this practice that reveals the chiaroscuro of its staging, its social impact and its political silence. The disciplinary, theoretical and practical challenges that aspire to shed light on a critical proposal for the practice of business education in Chile are outlined.
