A literature review about professional learning communities

Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the scientific production related to professional learning communities (CPA) from 2016 until 2021, from the review and analysis of research. Regarding the methodology, the study responds to the qualitative approach and the literature review method of 61 articles was used. These were analyzed from two categories: Aspects related to the concept of CPA; and Particular features of the CPAs. In this way, the analysis and discussion of results made it possible to specify quantitative elements regarding the articles such as the predominant research method and techniques, main informants, and most cited authors. It is concluded that three perspectives can be established in relation to the concept: Structural; Activity performed; and Objective to be achieved. Finally, in relation to the particular features, five general components can be specified: Guiding vision; Leadership; Practice; Learning; and Support aspects.
