Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know the perception of parents of the quality of education in 465 parents from 120 pre-school centers in the Metropolitan and Bio Bío regions, using the ECERS PARENTS Scale. A psychometric perceived analysis of the instrument was carried out. We compared the quality perceived by parents with an objective measure carried out by trained external observers using the ECERS Scale. As a result it was found that the ECERS PARENTS instrument is trustworthy to be applied in the Chilean environment. Parents give high importance to all the aspects of quality and perceive the majority of them as very good. It was observed that the parents’ evaluation resulted less demanding in comparison with trained external observers.
