Education for the democracy: international experiences inventory

Abstract
This article analyses some democracy education experiences developed either in our country or outside. The experiences were classified by its goals and emphasis on human rights and world peace education, rethinking the teacher training programs, instructional materials building, practices that emphasize democratic values, multicultural education and experiences which develop students specific skills. The student’s role in each of these experiences is reviewed as a central point to design and implement this kind of experiences.
