Chilean forestry Journals: another plea for lesser amount and higher quality?

Abstract

An analysis of scientific journals covering the Chilean forestry area until February 1991 is carried out based on the requirements of the ISI (Institute for Scientific Information) for internationally recognized scientific journals. The conclusion reached is that none of the Chilean journals meet requirements; a proposal to cope with deficiency is given.
