Abstract
The objective of this article is to describe the experiences related to Social Tourism and Community-Based that some Latin American countries have and to establish a comparison with the reality that the Cuban experience shows, specifical-ly in the Province of Camagüey. For this, documentary review, interviews with managers of territories identified with potential for tourism development have been used as fundamental methods. The work will give us elements to identify the socio cultural and natural values of the localities under study, which will serve as theoretical support for the realization of future works for the proposal of new community-based tourist products in the province of Camagüey, since It imposes the diversification of nature tourism products, of open spaces and that with this there is an expansion of rural or community tourism in order to avoid crowds after COVID.
