Inhabiting in urban renewal contexts: Güemes district, Córdoba 2010-2015
Main Article Content
Abstract
The transformations that have shaped a district considered traditional in the city of Córdoba –the Güemes district– are addressed from a geographic and urbanistic point of view in the context of an urban renewal process. The study variables considered are the changes that took place between 2010-2015 –under policy actions promoted by local managers– and data collected through the 2010 National Census to characterize residents. By crossing these variables, light is shed on changes in forms of inhabiting, considering the early urban renewal process that takes place during this period. Based on the modifications made to the neighborhood space and the way of inhabiting, the final remarks are a summon to reflect on urban practices in the context of ongoing urban renewals.
