Abstract

The growing intromission of exclusively economical criteria in the development of our cities has been defining an unsustainable way of making city. Stability of urban centers has been evidenced as one of the main difficulties inside this model. The city of Valdivia has not been left aside from these self-referent urban tendencies. Considering this, the Urbanism Workshop from the Architecture Department from Universidad Austral de Chile has taken the challenge of finding and studying a series of problems in the center of Valdivia and designing proposals of urban Intervention, oriented to valuating this part of the city.
