Main Article Content
Abstract
The canine urinary bladder tumors represent less than 1% of all tumors present in this species. Surgical treatment is indicated in benign tumors and combined with chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
Doxorubicin, 5 fluorouracil, cyclophosphamide, vincristine and cisplatin are the drugs mostly used for chemotherapy.
Systemic Doxorubicin-ciclophosphamide therapy in association with intravesical cisplatin therapy are recommended, particularly in transitional cell carcinoma.
