Temporal stability of yield the mutant wheat genotypes using the Additive Main effect and Multiplicative Interaction model (AMMI)

Abstract
Using yield data of twenty six mutant wheat genotypes, which had been cultivated in six environments of Valdivia, the genotype x enviromnent interaction was estimated and analysis of temporal stability of yield using AMMI model was accomplished.
The magnitude of the genotype x enviromnent interaction was determined using a combined variance analysis. Yield stability was estimated through the Additive Main effects and Multiplicative Interaction model (AMMI) of Zobel et al (1988).
Results indícate genotype x enviromnent interaction; effect of genotype and effect of enviromnent showed significance. The PCA-1 points of the AMMI model, showed six genotypes with smaller interaction effects and therefore higher stability behavior, these were M08, Mil, M12, M15, M16 and M19.
